Become a Friend of Astley Ainslie Community Trust
By becoming a Friend of Astley Ainslie Community Trust, you’re helping to realise the local community’s priorities for the Astley Ainslie site as set out in the Astley Ainslie Local Place Plan 2025.
The grounds of Astley Ainslie have long been a place of healing, nature and quiet refuge. Today, the local community is working together to protect that spirit and shape a future where the site continues to support wellbeing, creativity, learning and connection for generations to come.
Monthly support from our Friends provides the steady roots that make this possible. Your contribution helps us care for what exists today while building the capacity to realise the community’s shared vision for the future.
Like trees in a woodland, every Friend plays a part. Some plant the first seeds, others nurture new growth, and some provide the strong roots that help the whole forest thrive.
Together, many small acts of support create something lasting.
Choose the level that feels right for you and join our growing community of Friends. Your support helps ensure that Astley Ainslie remains a place of nature, wellbeing and community for years to come.

For £5 per month Rowan Friends help plant the first seeds of support.
Your monthly contribution helps sustain the everyday work that keeps the community vision for Astley Ainslie moving forward.
For £10 per month, Hazel Friends provide vital ongoing support that helps our work grow and flourish, supporting community engagement, partnership building and the practical work needed to realise the Local Place Plan.
For £20 per month, Oak Friends provide strong foundations for our work. Your generous monthly support helps us plan ahead, strengthen community stewardship, and build the capacity needed to deliver the priorities identified in the Local Place Plan.
Friends’ support helps sustain the essential work that allows Astley Ainslie Community Trust to deliver the community’s vision. Monthly contributions help cover the practical costs of running and growing the organisation, including communications and newsletters, governance and professional advice, administration and financial management, and the time needed to build partnerships with local organisations, public bodies and community groups. These foundations make it possible for the Trust to continue working with the community to realise the priorities set out in the Astley Ainslie Local Place Plan: protecting the site’s greenspace, trees and biodiversity, preserving its historic buildings and landscape, maintaining free public access, supporting health and wellbeing uses, and creating opportunities for community facilities such as a future community hub.
